Biography
Coach John brings 17 years of coaching experience and a proven competitive track record to Frisco Flyers, where he has been a key part of the program for 9 years. He has coached athletes across recreational, intermediate, and advanced levels, specializing in player development for ages 11–18 during the most critical years of athletic growth.
John’s coaching philosophy is rooted in Development Over Winning—with a competitive edge. He believes that disciplined training, strong fundamentals, and confidence-building are what ultimately create winning teams. Every decision he makes is centered on what best develops the athlete first, knowing that when players improve, winning follows. This approach prepares young athletes not only to compete at a high level today, but to succeed at the next level tomorrow.
Coach John challenges his athletes, holds them accountable, and creates an environment where players are pushed to reach their full potential—while still fostering a positive, supportive culture that young athletes need to thrive.

More Than a Coach
John has been married to his wife, Chauntel, for 25 years and is the proud father of 4 daughters, giving him firsthand insight into the youth athlete journey. One of his daughters earned a Division II volleyball scholarship, shaping John’s understanding of what it takes to develop players for collegiate opportunities.
He is also a committed Autism Awareness advocate and actively gives back to the community—values he works to instill in every athlete he coaches.
Coach John’s competitive mindset, player-first approach, and passion for youth development make him an essential leader within the Frisco Flyers program—building confident athletes, strong teams, and sustained success on and off the court.
